Agricultural Operations (Ag Ops) manages and operates greenhouses, screenhouses, and two field stations to support the research of UCR scientists. The 510 acre Citrus Research Center and Agricultural Experiment station (CRC-AES) is located adjacent to Campus and the 540 acre Coachella Valley Agricultural Research Station (CVARS*) is located 90 miles southeast of Campus. Greenhouse and screenhouse facilities are available on both stations. A field resources summary, greenhouse services summary, and field maps of each station are available.

Extensive studies in the plant sciences, environmental and natural resources, and pest and weed management are underway at the stations and in the greenhouses and screenhouses on a continual basis. The research conducted at the stations serves as the basis for new, improved plant varieties for both agricultural and urban landscapes, as well as new, more sustainable agricultural practices to combat insect and disease infestations and to enhance crop productivity. Over 50 different crops are grown annually for research; among the commodities under study are citrus, turfgrass, grapes, avocados, asparagus, date palms, corn, small grain, ornamental trees and shrubs, and cover crops.

Hours open: 8:00 am to noon and 1:00 pm to 5:00 pm, Monday through Friday
Closed on campus holidays.
